Dr. Sr. Austin, MD (Ay)
Dr. Sr. Austin belongs to congregation of sisters of charity. Dr. Sr. Austin earned her undergraduate degree from V.P.S.V. Ayurveda College, Kottakkal, and completed her M.D. (Ay) at the Government College of Indian Medicine, Mysore, in 1988. Her strong academic background has been instrumental in shaping her career in Ayurveda. Joining Amala Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre as a Research Officer and Consultant Physician, Dr. Sr. Austin has dedicated herself to the practice and promotion of Ayurvedic medicine. With over 35 years of experience, she has established herself as a prominent figure in the field. Dr.Sr. Austin’s proficiency in multiple foreign languages has enabled her to effectively promote Ayurveda on an international scale. She has worked in Germany as an Ayurvedic Research Officer, contributing to the dissemination of Ayurvedic knowledge. Her frequent visits to Europe reflect her commitment to enhancing the global appreciation of Ayurveda.
Dr. Rohith K, BAMS, PGDHHM
Dr. Rohith K graduated from Santhigiri Ayurveda Medical College, affiliated with the University of Calicut, in 2015. Growing up in an Ayurveda family, he developed a deep appreciation and understanding of traditional Ayurvedic principles and practices. With over twelve years of clinical experience in Ayurveda, he provides individualized, patient-centred treatment for a wide range of health conditions.
He completed a Postgraduate Diploma in Hospital and Health Management (PGDHHM) and has also completed a Postgraduate degree in Psychology, further enhancing his understanding of human behaviour, mental well-being, patient counselling, and the psychological aspects of healthcare. His multidisciplinary training enables him to adopt a holistic approach by integrating psychological principles with Ayurvedic clinical practice, ensuring comprehensive and patient-centred care.
Dr. Rohith currently serves as the NABH Accreditation Coordinator at Amala Ayurvedic Hospital and Research Centre, where he plays a key role in implementing and maintaining the quality and patient safety standards prescribed by the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals & Healthcare Providers (NABH). His commitment to clinical excellence, quality improvement, and compassionate patient care contributes significantly to delivering safe, effective, and patient-centred healthcare services.
Dr. S. Jayadeep, MD (Ay)
Dr. S. Jayadeep completed his graduation and post-graduation in Panchakarma, both from Government Ayurveda College, Tripunithura, Ernakulam. Backed with 35 years of professional experience in Ayurveda and hailing from a traditional Ayurveda family of North Malabar, he is a very well sought-after Ayurvedic doctor in Thrissur. Having entered government service at a very young age and henceforth serving various government hospitals in different districts of Kerala, he has proved his capabilities as a successful clinician, administrator and public health functionary. He has developed expertise in treating acute/chronic ailments. He also has co-authored a textbook “Principles and Practice of Vasti” which is used as a reference book at postgraduate level. Dr. Jayadeep is a regular writer in newspapers/health magazines on various Ayurveda aspects. He also holds regular radio talks on health issues on AIR. Apart from his clinical expertise, he possesses practical knowledge, sufficient experience in the Ayurvedic pharmaceutical sector as Assistant Manager/Doctor and as Production Manager in an eminent Ayurvedic Pharmaceutical in Kerala.
